Within the vibrant Phoenix Metro, our Healthy Roots Garden serves as an anchor for sustainable food systems. At The Orchard, we are dedicated to promoting locally grown produce and fostering community wellness. Over the past 15 years, we have cultivated a space where learning, growth, and nourishment come together. Our mission is to create and implement programs that provide direct service and advocate for change in the systems of food, personal wellness, education, and the stewardship of all species on Mother Earth. By participating in our programs, you can become a part of our ecosystem. Together, we can create a more sustainable future.

Our Work

Each of our programs is rooted in the principles of justice and equality, guided by the sciences of personal, community, and planetary wellness. Our initiatives are designed to function through a hyper-local economy, serving and benefiting the community directly. We believe that by fostering a connection to locally grown produce, we can create a healthier and more resilient community. Through our educational programs and community outreach, we aim to inspire others to join us in our mission. Our garden offers a space where individuals can learn about sustainable agriculture practices and experience the benefits of locally grown food first-hand. We prioritize sustainability in all our operations, from composting organic waste to using eco-friendly farming techniques.

Our Harvest

Our Harvest is a cooperative service with Spaces of Opportunity incubator farmers and other local growers. We purchase produce directly from the farm and other local growers for the Our Harvest table at the monthly market. All forms of payment are accepted including SNAP and Double Up Bucks.
